SUMMARY:Anilogue International Animation Festival
DESCRIPTION:Anilogue is an annual international animation festival taking place in Budapest\, Hungary. The festival presents a whole week of animation\, packed with feature premieres\, sneak previews\, workshops\, a competition of European animated short films and numerous special programmes including a seven hours long animated show\, concerts and cartoon exhibitions. \nAnilogue began in 2003 as a celebration of young European animation. This year marks its 23rd edition\, having matured into Budapest’s oldest independent international film festival. Or more accurately\, it has blossomed into spring—because from now on\, instead of the late-November Anilogue\, we are hosting a true spring-welcoming celebration of animation. And this will take place not only in Budapest\, but simultaneously\, after a 14-year hiatus\, in Vienna as well.

In March 2026\, “DIGITHALIA – Festival for Virtual Theater Forms Graz” will once again be dedicated to exploring innovative forms of storytelling.For four days\, “DIGITHALIA” transforms the Schauspielhaus Graz into a stage for theater formats that venture into the unreality of the virtual world and raise questions about community\, power\, and resistance. The third edition features texts\, performances\, and multimedia works that explore possibilities for coexistence: Who is behind the avatars and agents? Who prefers to remain anonymous\, and who is looking for a new community? As bots manipulate communication networks and platforms open up to dubious truths\, new skills are needed: tools and an understanding of how we want to talk to each other and how we can negotiate trust\, information\, and knowledge with each other. “DIGITHALIA” presents regional and international productions as well as shows by the Schauspielhaus Graz. With performances\, games\, films\, installations and concerts\, the SCHAUSPIELHAUS becomes a gathering place for anyone keen to find out how the theater can address the Digital and how the Digital will respond.
